Kids in Action

Over the past few weeks, Soweto township in Gauteng has been alive with activity as Active Education coaches have been visiting selected schools throughout Soweto as part of operation "Embrace Soweto", a joint initiative with DSTV which aims to bring back sport as an integral part of the school curriculum and to develop the surrounding communities through the power of sport.

The project kicks off with the boys and girls from each of the schools being scientifically tested to establish their basic physical abilities and physical education needs, with the goal of developing a specific sports development program to build on their strengths and improve on the areas that require attention.
